The Canadian Tire First Shift Welcome Event
The Canadian Tire First Shift program is designed to break down the barriers to entry, creating a welcoming environment for new-to-hockey families, and delivering a program that is accessible, affordable, safe and most importantly, fun! The program is open to boys and girls ages 6-10 from across Edmonton that are not currently enrolled in hockey. Hockey Edmonton is happy to say that the fall session is full with 45 youngsters eager to be introduced to hockey!
The Welcome Event held Saturday October 22nd consisted of a program overview and education for the parents, introduction to the on ice instructors and an expert fit session where the kids were provided with all the equipment they need.
The winter sessions are full but keep an eye out for next year's registration!
