Overtime - Round Robin Play

Overtime - Championship Game

If the score is tied at the end of regulation time in the championship game, the teams will go into a 5-minute sudden victory format with four players aside (ie. three skaters and a goalie per team).

In the event the game is still tied after the 5-minute sudden victory period, the teams will go into a shootout. Each team will be guaranteed five shooters. In the event the teams are still tied after five shooters, the shootout turns into a sudden victory format. Players can only shoot once until every player on the team has taken a shot.

Time Keeping & Game Sheets

Home teams are to supply the time keepers/score keepers. Periods will run 15, 20 and 20 minutes in length.

Metro team officials need to send games sheets and write-ups of any on-ice infractions to discipline@hockeyedmonton.ca for review within 24 hours. Original game sheets must come into the Hockey Edmonton office at the end of the event.

Regional teams must follow the direction of their Minor Discipline Committee and use the link provided in their Tournament Permit to upload game sheets and write ups. All teams are required to have a permit to participate in the tournament. The OEG Cup tournament sanction number is HA-21350261.

Costs for Ice & Referees

Just a reminder, original game sheets from ALL of the games in the tournament MUST come to the office at the end of the event.  The permit allows for 24 hours to have game sheets and any write up sent in.

The home team/association is responsible for ice costs while both teams are to share the cost of the referees. In the championship game, OEG is providing the ice time while the two teams will be responsible for sharing the cost of the refs.

Championship Team

The winning team will represent the Oilers Entertainment Group and the capital city region at the Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament in Quebec City February 9th to 20nd.

OEG has generously agreed to award the winning team:

  • Edmonton Oilers branded jerseys, socks, gloves, helmets, pant shells and equipment bags (the players get to keep the jerseys and socks but need to return the other gear after the tournament)
  • Matching fundraising dollars up to ten thousand dollars to help offset the costs of the trip

The champions will be hosted in a luxury suite at an Edmonton Oil Kings game and featured on the giant scoreboard!

Here's to a great, fun and safe tournament!
