Timbits Festival a Sweet Treat for All!

Some 14-hundred little hockey players and their families jammed into the Terwillegar Rec Centre yesterday for the Timbits Festival!

The U7s captured everyone's hearts as they had so much fun on the ice. Away from the rink that had that much more fun getting their faces painted, talking to Santa about Christmas, received balloon works of art and listening to an awesome brass band, the Brasstactics.

We also had the prestigious trophy for the World Junior Hockey Championship at the rink, as our friends from Hockey Canada and their partners from the Dairy Farmers and Telus handed out all sorts of goodies while staging fun games!

Our 50-50 was won by Tasha Goodfellow, who had ticket #1233 which enabled her to take home a cool $1595 for her Christmas shopping - or herself!

We thank all the great volunteers and Tim Hortons for helping us to stage such a party that was such a big hit!
