Our friends at the City of Edmonton are in the process of reopening all 22 arenas this month to help us meet the high demand from our membership and other arena user groups. We thank both City Administration and City Council for how quickly they moved to get the doors open after the Government of Alberta eased the health restrictions, clearing the way for the players to hit the ice again. If any of you saw those kids hit the ice with screams of excitement this week, you know how much this means to them.
Hockey Alberta has captured all the recent changes in an updated Return to Hockey document. They’ve also included some ideas for physically-distanced drills (and links to more). We want to ensure we do everything properly so we can keep everyone healthy, drive those Covid numbers down further and, ultimately, clear the way for game action.
Have fun and stay safe!
