New President & Board Overseeing Enhancements
New player development models, restructured leagues & more on tap for 2021-22
Will Jang is busy preparing for what he foresees as a great 2021-2022 hockey season. There are enhanced player development programs in the elite streams at all age levels, a restructured Federation Hockey League and much more coming. all of which is geared towards making it a great experience for the player.
“Who thought we’d be so busy in a pandemic when there’s no hockey,” says the new president of Hockey Edmonton. “We've been extremely busy. It’s going to be an exciting time for the players who play for all the teams in the organizations in the Hockey Edmonton family.”
Jang is building on a lot of change that has been happening recently within the organization to take the hockey playing experience to new heights.
“We have had a lot of people doing great work to take our programming to new levels. Our elite streams have outstanding, new standards and we have a community model that is freshly redesigned which keeps recreational players at the forefont. It’s an honour and a challenge to serve such a wide variety of members but one we are committed to excel at.”
Jang leads a new Executive Committee on the Hockey Edmonton Board of Directors which was voted in at the recent Annual General Meeting. The Executive now reads as follows:
