Dany Assaf grew up in North Edmonton loving hockey. He is also proud of his Muslim faith, a pride pioneered by his grandfather, who helped build the first mosque in Canada. We talked to Dany before the tragedy in London, Ontario, but his words resonate now more than ever. His stories from the game and how he overcame racism to become a successful Bay Street lawyer and author are inspiring.
