Lil' Oilers

For further program information please CLICK HERE

Lil' Oilers is a Learn to Play initiative, developed in collaboration with the NHL and NHLPA, that is designed to introduce youth aged five to six to the great game of hockey. Running in February/March out of the Downtown Community Arena adjacent to Rogers Place, eligible children will be selected via lottery to participate in this unique hockey program.

Lil' Oilers will help break common entry barriers into the minor hockey system by providing all participants with new complimentary CCM hockey equipment, as well as world class on-ice instruction from Oilers alumni and local hockey experts. With an emphasis on fun and approved lesson plans from Hockey Canada, Lil' Oilers is the perfect program for those looking to get their start in hockey!

Building upon the success from last season (200+ coach volunteers), we would like to invite Hockey Edmonton coaches (of all levels) to come out and assist with the program again this year. This is a great opportunity for Hockey Edmonton coaches to coach alongside NHL alumni and elite level coaches, for professional development as a coach, and to give back to the sport. We invite interested coaches to visit the link above for further Coach Volunteer Information.
